T4A GPS Maps (Version 20.05) is a highly detailed fully routable map of Africa for self-drive tourists as well as for overlanders who want to explore remote places in Africa. We also cater for the average outdoors person who enjoys hiking, fishing, birding, mountain biking and 4×4 trails.

T4A GPS Maps 20.05 comes preloaded on a micro SD card with standard adapter, ready for Plug & Navigate. This SD card can be used on most map capable Garmin handheld units and has been tested with latest Drive units as well.

T4A processed 342 data submissions for this version resulting in the addition of about 26 000km of road data. These data submissions not only contribute more roads and POIs to the map but also improve the quality of existing data by means of corrections. Detailed street coverage for Southern and Eastern Africa is now included but street numbers are not available.

We are busy finalising our new paper map of South Africa and this project prompted a lot of research into basic services in smaller towns of South Africa. There were a lot of new points of interest added as a result. Our project to clean up the map and remove redundant points of interest still continues. Most of this work was already included in version 18.05 but you should notice more of this in the latest version. The previous version saw a decline in the number of POIs as a result of this project, but for version 18.10 the number grew by 1.5%.

Our Zimbabwe project still continued well into 2018 and had a very big effect on the road coverage. You may recall that we started to look for missing secondary and minor roads in Zimbabwe and that road coverage increased by 6% in the previous version. The project, now completed, contributed a whopping 27% more in the latest release. This project added more than 30 000 km of new roads in Zimbabwe.
